Replying to a Message You Have Received
Lesson 3 builds on Lessons 1 and 2 so you might start by following those
instructions up to the beginning of this lesson. Please tell us about any
problems you had doing this exercise. The quickest and easiest way to let us
know how you did, is by your replying to us right on this message.
Where are the Messages I Got Yesterday?
Before continuing you may wonder where the previous messages are since you didn't take a final action on them, for instance, delete or move them.
1. Click on File in the left corner.
2. Click on Read New Mail, as shown below:

3. Double click to open one of the messages and go to step one in the next section.
Replying to a Message You've Received
One of the messages you received showed in the subject line: "Subj: # 3. Replying to a Message You've Received". You will be using that message to reply, remember to double click to open it.
1. Click on "REPLY", notice that it is right above the message.

2. Click yes that you want to include the original message in the reply. You do this by clicking in the blank box. This will put a check mark in the box. If there is already a check mark you don't have to do anything. (Note that this will stay checked for future mail replies so you will need to click on that check mark to remove it from the box.)

3. Click on OK and the message will come up in a box entitled REPLY 1.
The "I beam" will be in the message box ready for you to add a message to us on your progress with this lesson. Wondering what to do with the line already there? Press the enter key a few times to give you some room and move the mouse's "I beam" back to the top. You will be typing your message in just above the message that was sent to you. See below on how it will look.

Sending the Message
1. Finished your message? Click on Send.

2. Even though the original message is visible you can just "Click on File and then click on Exit" to close the mail program.
That concludes lesson 3.
