Lesson 7 (has mail) and Making Folders for Your Messages

Making a New Folder

1. Single click on the folder icon located on the main menu line.

2. Single click on NEW located on the folder's menu line.

3. Type in PY Computer Solutions in the Long Name Box and Click on OKAY.

4. Click on NEW again and now type MAIL LESSONS and Click on OKAY.
5. Now let's close the FOLDER box. Remember how? Double click on the hyphen in the left corner of the box.

Moving Messages to the Folder

1. Single click on the folder icon located on the main menu line.

2. Double click on the folder entitled " Main Folder ".

3. You will see a list of email messages that have not been moved to a more permanent location.

4. Single click on one of the lesson messages, for instance, #2.

5. Single click on the icon MOVE.

6. Double click on the FOLDER where you want to move the message. In this case select the Mail Lessons that you just made. (Note that you can even make a NEW folder at this point if you decide the message belongs under something else.)

7. Repeat steps 3-5 to move all the lesson messages to a folder.


Deleting Messages

1. Continuing on, there will be messages that you will want to DELETE right after you read them.

2. The NEW mail folder should still be open. If not open it by selecting folders and double clicking on the "Main Folder". See that message entitled "JUNK Mail from PY".

3. Click on it and select DELETE from the New mail folder line. Click on "yes" when asked again if you want to delete.

4. Close the New mail folder box. Just a double click on the hyphen in the left corner of the New Mail folder box.

That concludes lesson 7. Remember to check for new mail! Click on File and then click on exit. It's okay to have open window boxes when you exit.
